Do You Trust and Believe in Yourself? Here Is Why You Must Do!
Very rarely do people believe in themselves. We always go trusting others, we always go believing what others say to us. We need to look at ourselves and look at what is self-belief and self-trust?
Look at the trust that we have with our parents when we were young. When a father throws up a child, the child blindly trusts the father because he knows that his or her father will catch him. But can a father trust his child that when he grows up, he will hold his hand when he requires? When the father or mother has to trust us, like how we trust them, then we must trust ourselves.
Whatever actions I do, I do it with consciousness, I do it with full awareness that yes I am doing this, though I know the consequence of the action because, I truly and completely believe in what am I doing. I believe and trust myself completely. Unless I trust myself, my capacities, capabilities, talents, etc. I will not be able to look at others and appreciate others. This is a proven reality. If we say to a person that I trust you, I believe in you, it is 100% artificial. When I am doubtful of my own self, how do I trust others?
What is Doubting your own self?
Right from a simple thing like a dress we have to wear, we have thousands of questions in our mind. Will the color suit me? Will it look nice on me? And if somebody else says “No! It doesn’t suit you” even though I feel it is comfortable for me and it is suiting me, I stop buying it just because somebody told me it doesn’t suit you. We don’t wear clothes to please somebody. When we lack trusting our own self, we start pleasing others. We please the person because our entire emotional anchor lies outside us with that person or many others. Suppose, you are happy with what you’re wearing, you buy whatever you want because you know yourself.
Importance of trusting yourself:
Unless you believe in yourself you cannot achieve anything. As a leader, it is necessary to always trust and believe in yourself before stepping out to trusting and believing others. If you trust yourself, believe in your talents, others will automatically trust you.
